From 13 February to 20 July 2025, Onirica () was on view at MAD Arts, the immersive art museum in Dania Beach, Miami.

Onirica () is a site-specific audiovisual installation that explores the dimension of dreams, translating the creative activity of the sleeping mind into synthetic images. The work draws on a dataset of 28,748 dreams collected by the University of Bologna and the University of California Santa Cruz: real accounts of sleep, turned into text, then translated by a machine learning system into a continuous stream of visions: faces, landscapes, objects surfacing and dissolving like a night's sequence of REM and NREM cycles.

At MAD Arts, the installation surrounded the viewer with a central screen where the generated visuals unfolded, flanked by lateral surfaces streaming fragments of the original dream texts: a way of making visible the sheer volume and density of the archive behind the work.

It was also the first time the work traveled to the United States, the same country where the dream archive from the University of California Santa Cruz was created, bringing the piece back, in a sense, to the origin of some of the voices it translates into image.
